First up, let’s get the pic out of the way so we can get to the meatier stuff. This comes courtesy of Michael Bay’s official site, and features the director busting out a power stance while surrounded by various crew members, stars Jack Reynor and Mark Whalberg… and a big pointy thing. In all honesty, besides the big pointy thing, it ain’t that interesting. Or is there more to this than meets the eye?

What ‘is’ interesting however, is the continued rumours that the Dinobots will feature. With the franchise undergoing an overhaul in this fourth entry, it’s the perfect time to introduce Grimlock and the gang and give audiences something new. What’s more exciting than big robots that punch the shit out of each other? Big robots that turn into dinosaurs and punch the shit out of each other, that’s what!

Today’s rumour first appeared on ComingSoon.net, whose sources revealed to them that a scene shooting in Chicago’s McCormick Place (anybody?) would incorporate Dinobots. Sadly there’s little more to go off, and frankly the whole thing could be a big bag o’ bollocks, but we live in hope they know something the rest of the world don’t.

A now deleted story from the guys at /Film confirmed the posting of a supposed T4 call sheet on Reddit which detailed a scene entitled…

“1st Dinobot Attack”

Wonder why the post vanished? Hmmm…
