“My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos when we were promised a new Mad Max film in 2010. Then it was pushed back for a 2012 release. Ruined dreams.”

Now the dream that Mad Max: Fury Road will finally be unleashed in 2014 seems much more tangible,  despite suffering numerous reshoots, with the latest photo release (above) featuring Tom Hardy in his Mad Max clobber.

Director George Miller, who filmed the movie over a six-month period in Africa, revealed the plot in a nutshell.

“Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron). This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”

Surely one question that must be on everyone’s lips is… Can you supersize your Word Burger?

Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Riley Keough and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also star in the movie.
