Despite DARK SHADOWS not having even wrapped shooting yet, and animators working around the clock on his FRANKENWEENIE feature, it’s looking like Burton is already lining up his next project over at 20th Century Fox…

According to Deadline, the director is eyeing an adaptation of MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, the acclaimed book by Ransom Riggs. The secret-filled tale of a mysterious orphanage that houses ‘gifted’ children is a perfect fit for Burton, which will delight his fans but annoy those who have grown tired of his schtick over the years.
