Capitalising on the current obsession with the apocalypse (today’s the day, folks!) Sony Pictures has released the trailer for THIS IS THE END, the new comedy written and directed by Seth Rogen. Formerly titled THE END OF THE WORLD, the movie has undergone a name change in order to avoid confusion with Edgar Wright’s similarly themed THE WORLD’S END (also out 2013). The plot sees James Franco throwing a party for his celebrity mates – who all play themselves – only for the apocalypse to kick off and put a dampner on the occasion.

Synopsis:

While attending a party at James Franco’s house, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel and many other celebrities are faced with the apocalypse.

THIS IS THE END will open in UK cinemas June 28th 2013.
