After yesterday’s rumours that director Josh Trank is being targeted for a VENOM movie, now comes word that CHRONICLE writer Max Landis is hard at work on writing a sequel to the found footage super powers hit.

The first film cost just $12 million to produce and has so far made $105 million worldwide meaning it’s a profitable film and a sequel is inevitable. Without going into spoilers, the first film certainly leaves the story open for a sequel and it will be interesting to see where they go with this.

Landis also has fairy tale PIED PIPER, action comedy GOOD TIME GANG and Ron Howard produced adventure AMNESTY on his ‘to do’ list so he is keeping busy. No word yet on whether Trank will return to direct the second film as he also has a FANTASTIC FOUR reboot on his plate as well as the potential VENOM film.
