Recently speaking to Collider, Hugh Jackman has reiterated his hope that his Wolverine will one day get to team up with the Avengers. Of course, the studios don’t see it as such an easy option, with the cinematic rights for Wolverine, the X-Men and the Fantastic Four resting with 20th Century Fox, the rights to the Avengers sitting with Disney/Marvel Studios, and Spidey spinning his web at Sony Pictures.

On the predicament, Jackman said, “You’ve got three studios, just split it three ways in terms of the cost, and happy days, it’s all coming together. I’m in for it, I’m totally up for it because I think that would be really exciting for fans.”

The actor also revealed that he had recently brought the issue up with Marvel, revealing, “I asked the same question the other day to Tom from Marvel who works with all the other studios. He works with Sony and Fox, that’s his job to liaise. I said, ‘Can this happen?’ and he goes, ‘Look, it’s not gonna be easy.’ But I’m optimistic. I find it impossible that there’s not a way to bring Iron Man, all the Avengers characters, Wolverine, the X-Men characters, Spider-Man, and somehow get them together.”

Why can’t we all just get along?
