Last month’s first trailer for CLOUD ATLAS, the new epic from The Wachowskis & Tom Tywker, though fabulous, was just to damn long at five minutes. I’ll admit it, I dropped out half way through as the realisation slowly started to dawn that I was ruining what promises to be a very special film indeed. What follows is a more traditional, more palatable 2.26 minute promo. And it looks incredible…

Official Synopsis:

“Cloud Atlas” explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future. Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

Featuring an all-star cast, including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Zhou Zun, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon and Hugh Grant, CLOUD ATLAS will hit US cinemas this coming October. Us chumps in the UK on the other hand, we’ll have to make do with a March 2013 release. Sigh.
