Fresh from his action role in “DIE HARD in the White House” (sorry, I mean OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN) Gerard Butler is in negotiations to star in THE RAVEN for Universal. Not to be confused with the John Cusack vehicle, THE RAVEN was a short sci-fi film (posted in full below) about a young telekinetic on the run from a variety of lethal LAPD robot drones.

Although Universal have had the rights to this short film, directed by Ricardo de Montreuil, since 2010, it has languished in development hell. Now with the possibility of Butler committing to the project, and de Montreuil on board to direct, it looks like a feature length version might actually happen at long last.
