With it recently confirmed that this year’s THE PURGE is to get a sequel, ShockTillYouDrop has news on several new faces being added to the cast.

Last week saw Frank Grillo join the ranks of THE PURGE 2, and joining him will be Michael K. Williams (THE WIRE, BOARDWALK EMPIRE), Zach Gilford (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, THE LAST STAND), Carmen Ejogo (SPARKLE, ALEX ROSS) and Kiele Sanchez (THE GLADES, LOST).

James DeMonaco, the writer and director of THE PURGE has already been confirmed to return for the sequel. The first movie grossed an impressive $89.3 million from just a $3 million budget, meaning a sequel was always likely to happen.

THE PURGE 2 is currently scheduled for a 20th June, 2014 release.
