Remember a few weeks ago, when we were reporting on four names being up for the role of Doctor von Doom in 20th Century Fox’s THE FANTASTIC FOUR reboot? Well the role has now been cast. Beating out competition from Domhnall Gleeson, Sam Riley and Eddie Redmayne, Toby Kebbell has been cast as the FF’s greatest nemesis.
Kebbell is best known for his roles in the likes of WRATH OF THE TITANS, PRINCE OF PERSIA, WAR HORSE, ROCKNROLLA and the stunning DEAD MAN’S SHOES. Whilst we’re still not particularly on board with the FF retelling, Kebbell is a great addition.
Toby Kebbell joins a cast that includes Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
With shooting expected to commence imminently, directed by Josh Trank, THE FANTASTIC FOUR is currently scheduled for a 19th June, 2015 release.
