After the various legal issues surrounding THE CROW reboot came to an end, Relativity Media, the company behind the new project, have wasted no time at all getting it back on the fast track…

Deadline are reporting that up-and-coming writer Jesse Wigutow has today been tasked with cranking out a new script for the film, while director F. Javier Gutiérrez is now back in the driver’s seat according to Variety. Gutiérrez, who was responsible for the Spanish sci-fi flick BEFORE THE FALL, was attached when the project lost its second director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. The 28 WEEKS LATER helmer memorably raised Starburst’s eyebrows by bringing Bradley Cooper on board to star. Here’s another look at that frightening concept art that was making the rounds last year…

Yikes.

With THE HANGOVER star highly unlikely to return to the project after all that messing around (previous owners Miramax filed a lawsuit claiming to still hold the rights, derailing it completely), it’s time for the casting rumours to begin anew! Who would you guys like to see take the lead role now?
