Right, first thing’s first, turn back now if you don’t want some major plot points ruined for Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. We’re talking rather heavy spoilers here, so don’t say you weren’t warned. This, of course, comes hot on the heels of the whole Mary Jane Watson shuffle.

*** SPOILERS ***

These spoilers come courtesty of the guys over at CBM, and there’s several pictures that back up their scoop. You can find the pics at the bottom of the post, but let’s get to it.

With it being widely known that Chris Cooper is on board to play Norman Osborn in Webb’s Spidey sequel, it was presumed that we wouldn’t see his alter-ego, the Green Goblin, until THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3 at the earliest. Well, apparently not. Yes, you guessed it, we’ll be getting the Green Goblin in the second of Webb’s Wallcrawler films. The villain, one of Spider-Man’s greatest foes, will apparently appear during the finale of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. A source close to the film has said, “We can confirm that Green Goblin will actually be making his big entrance during the climax of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2. Here is a photo (the first one shown below) of the glass case that contains Norman after his transformation, which he breaks out of.”

The second image below also features the Goblin’s transport of choice, his glider, with the same source saying that the contraption shown is the one “that the stunt team has been using to practice on.”

Finally, the third image below shows an electronic billboard that relates to Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Apparently, Electro will get sent crashing through the billboard by Ol’ Webhead, with the source adding, “It’s revealed that Electro can fly when he is over metal, and he uses this power to fly out of the billboard and around Times Square, showing himself for the first time to the people of the city.”

To add further spoilers to a spoilerific post, THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 will also show a flashback featuring the death of Peter Parker’s parents. The source confirmed that we’ll see Peter’s mother “getting shot on a plane, which causes the plane to go down in a crash, killing both Peter’s mom and dad.”

Finally, as Spidey is getting a new outfit in the film, his new threads will also include a built-in MP3 player, which will be used in a chase scene with Paul Giamatti’s Rhino.

Right, now for those pictures:

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 opens in cinemas on May 2nd 2014.
