In a recent interview with Yahoo! Movies, Jamie Foxx has been talking about his role as Max Dillon, aka Electro, in Marc Webb’s THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2.

On joining the series, Foxx said, “Oh, man – it’s so much fan. The costume is great. They were very creative with it. It’s part of a remarkable legacy: Spider-Man. I mean, when you’re growing up as a kid, you know, that’s everything. So to be able to be in that is just amazing.”

Foxx then went on to reveal that we can expect to see the first footage from the film as this year’s San Diego Comic-Con International. He said, “Now I’m just waiting to get to Comic-Con and see how people respond to it. Marc Webb is a genius and Amy Pascal and everybody at Sony have just been so gracious to allow me to have this opportunity. It’s so cool.”

The Spidey sequel will see Peter Parker looking to juggle his high school graduation, his affection for Gwen Stacy and his promise to her father that he will stay away from her, and the small matter of a couple of supervillains – namely Electro and Rhino.

Andrew Garfield returns as Pater Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. Joining them is Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, Jamie Foxx as Electro and Paul Giamatti as Rhino.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 is released on 2nd May, 2014.
