Ever heard the plot of an upcoming project more than once and still not been able to get your head around it? That’s the problem I am having with PAN. This will be a film directed by Ben Hibon, the man behind the animated sequence in HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS part one and General Zod himself Terrence Stamp has just joined the cast.

PAN revolves around a twist on the J.M Barrie tale which has Aaron Eckhart playing tormented ex cop Captain Hook (!?) on the trail of a child kidnapper. Sean Bean is playing Smee (!?!) as a chief detective and Hook’s only ally on the case. Anna Sophia Robb plays Wendy the lone survivor of a previous rampage who comes out of the mental home to aid with the investigation. No word on who Stamp is playing but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn it’s a crocodile.

Lord knows how all this will pan out (pan out, get it?) but it certainly sounds interesting on paper. Will it be dark and haunting or will it be more like a Terry Gilliam or Tim Burton film? It surely can’t be any worse than HOOK can it?
