For those who thought that TERMINATOR: GENESIS was a bad idea, you’re not going to like this. Yes, production has now officially started on this latest effort. To confirm the news, Skydance Production posted the following picture on their Facebook page.
The image of the shoot’s very first slate was accompanied by a simple message:
::SKYNET preparation routines complete.
::Initialization sequence complete.
::Reboot initiating in 03m00s.
TERMINATOR: GENESIS is the start of a new trilogy of movies, said to be part-reboot, part-continuation. Directed by Alan Taylor, the film will feature Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke as John Connor, Jai Courtney as Kyle Reese, and roles for J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis and Sandrine Holt.
This latest TERMINATOR movie is currently set for a 1st July, 2015 release.
