Appearing on The Tonight Show to promote the upcoming release of DC Comics’ DJANGO UNCHAINED hardcover, acclaimed filmmaker Quentin Tarantino revealed to Jay Leno some small details of his next project, which is currently in the scripting stage. “It’s a Western. It’s not a DJANGO sequel, but it’s another Western.” Explaining why he’s sticking with this genre, QT said: “The thing is I had so much fun doing ‘Django’ and I love Westerns so much, that after I taught myself how to make one, it’s like ‘well okay, now let me make another one now I know what I’m doing.”

So there we go. Though Tarantino has always expressed his desire to try out as many different genres as possible, it looks like he’s fallen in love with the western as he did with the world of gangsters back in the beginning of his career, and will remain in that sandbox for a while longer yet. Seeing that DJANGO UNCHAINED was as incredible as it was, there’s certainly no complaints here! But, knowing how he rolls, best not hold our breaths – we’ll be looking at 2016 at the very earliest.
