It seems that barely a month goes by without some form of Hulk rumour rearing its green, rage-filled head. Writer/director/genius Guillermo del Toro was developing a TV show based around the Green Goliath at one point, although that seems to be now off the table. Then there were those constantly-debunked theories that a PLANET HULK movie was in the works. Despite there supposedly being no plans whatsoever for any Hulk-based features or series, Lou Ferrigno, best known for playing the Hulk in the iconic Bill Bixby-starring THE INCREDIBLE HULK TV show, suggests different.

Speaking to FilmFad, Ferrigno says, “They plan to do a TV series someday and it will probably be CGI, I don’t think you’ll ever see a human Hulk again. That’s a long way from now because I think in another year they’re going to film a solo Hulk movie.”

So based on what Ferrigno said, there’s a Hulk film up first then a TV series to follow. The only thing is, how privy would the bodybuilder-turned-actor be to such information? With that said, take this with a massive pinch of salt.

Mark Ruffalo’s version of the character will appear in Joss Whedon’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, although rumours suggest that the climax of the film will see the Hulk stranded on a flight into deep space. That’s where those PLANET HULK theories come into play.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will be released in the UK on April 24th, 2015.
