Earlier this week we brought news that Sylvester Stallone’s fifth RAMBO movie, tentatively titled RAMBO 5 or RAMBO V, was to start shooting next month in Louisiana. Now comes word, via ComingSoon, that the film now has an official title. In a play on the first John Rambo outing, the film will be titled RAMBO: LAST BLOOD. The first RAMBO film, of course, was called RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD. Subtle, right?

In terms of plot, it seems that Sly’s Rambo will be going up against a Mexican drug cartel this time around. Stallone has previously compared the tone of the film to the brilliant NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. The film is said to be the last movie in the franchise, with suggestions that John Rambo may finally bite the bullet during this outing.

RAMBO: LAST BLOOD is set to start shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 27th.
