Another year, another Twitter-based rumour. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is the culprit this time, having set tongues wagging after responding to a fans question on the social media site. When asked whether he’d ever like to play a comic book character, Johnson replied with some interesting information.

The People’s Champion responded, “We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014. We will partner up and create the cool bad assery.”

No more or no less was said, but it certainly poses the question as to what Johnson’s meeting was about.

It’s not the first time that The Rock has been linked to a DC cinematic project, as he was seemingly set to play Black Adam in Peter Segal’s failed BILLY BATSON AND THE LEGEND OF SHAZAM!, and has also previously confirmed various stages of talks to play the titular character in the now-dead LOBO feature. Could it be the case that one of these projects is back up and running, or has Johnson had talks for something completely new? Could it even be the case that The Great One has had talks to join Zack Snyder’s MAN OF STEEL sequel in some capacity?

Expect more on this as it becomes available.
