Following on from Wednesday’s sneak peak concept images comes a brand new look at Jonathan Liebesman’s NINJA TURTLES reboot. Notice how we dropped the words “Teenage” and “Mutant”? Well, after seemingly reinstating its original title last year (see above), it looks like Paramount have ultimately decided to as well. If the studio don’t understand why the title worked as well as it did, then fans are quite within their right to approach this with extreme caution. If Eastman & Laird had branded their property NINJA TURTLES back in ’84, it simply wouldn’t have entered the zeitgeist as it did and we wouldn’t be talking about this movie right now. Or… just to play devil’s advocate, maybe, just maybe… this is set many years later and they simply aren’t teenagers anymore. Worth considering. Anyhoo, let’s keep our flippers crossed that this thing can deliver, despite our reservations. Here’s a poster. It hasn’t been confirmed as real yet, but it looks genuine to us…

NINJA TURTLES stars Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Danny Woodburn as Master Splinter, Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon Fenwick and William Fichtner as Shredder. The movie will hit cinemas in the US on August 8th and is currently dated for an October 17th debut in the UK (that’s not a strong sign of confidence on the studio’s part. #justsayin).

Props to Twitter user @JamScone78 for first bringing this to our attention. We believe it originated, like yesterday’s leaked pics, on Reddit.
