It looks like the worst kept secret in Hollywood is well and truly out of the bag. With just weeks away from the start of principal photography on Star Wars Episode VII, original stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford have all descended on London.

Ford’s been spotted around London several times over the last week. Then over the weekend, Fisher all but confirmed on Twitter than she was in the capital. Finally on Sunday, Hamill’s presence was confirmed by none other than Darth Maul, with Peter Serafinowicz tweeting a photo of the unlikely couple, along with the message “Met up with @HamillHimself in London today. I wonder why he’s here”.

Of course, the presence of all three stars could be the world’s biggest coincidence, but with fellow cast members Peter Mayhew and Billy Dee Williams clearing their schedules recently, it’s looking increasingly likely that many of the key cast are indeed returning for the sequel. (STARBURST has been unable to confirm the current work commitments of Hayden Christensen, but we reckon we’re safe.)

Disney and Lucasfilm are, to date, remaining tight lipped, with R2-D2 the only confirmed returning character. With principal photography starting in May (some filming, presumably second unit has already commenced) it’s widely speculated that the company will take advantage of this weekend’s Star Wars Day (that’s May the 4th to the uninitiated) to finally announce the cast.

STAR WARS EPISODE VII opens December 18th.
