…Not that he goes into any great detail mind, but at least the buzzworthy Chronicle star confirms that all those recent reports were indeed true. Speaking with the Huffington Post, Jordan said that he had tested for an unspecified role, but didn’t get to wield an imaginary lightsabre as Saoirse Ronan admitted to last week. He did share her sentiments though: “Everybody’s going in on this project. They’re trying to figure out what they want.”

It sounds like J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy are being exceptionally thorough with this. While we’re desperate to know more, we can’t deny that this is the way it should be.

In related news, one of the early contenders rumoured to be involved was Chloe Grace Moretz, but it seems that was wishful thinking on the part of fans (especially the #Chloe4StarWars campaigners). “Rumours,” she recently told the Latino Review, “I don’t know how they get started. But it would be great to be a part of it.” That said… technically she does lie for a living. Do we believe her?

As usual, we’ll have more news soon. And if rumours are true there’s something big coming down the pike before the month’s out to celebrate the one year anniversary of Disney’s acquisition of the franchise. Yup. ONE YEAR! And we still know squat.

STAR WARS EPISODE VII hits 2015. November’s the latest unconfirmed slot being bandied around.
