Take this story with a pinch of salt for now, but Latino Review has the scoop on some possible casting for STAR WARS: EPISODE VII.

Firstly, their report claims that, so far, only one person has read for the role of Leia and Han Solo’s daughter. The person in question? That would be Rachel Hurd-Wood, best known for playing Wendy Darling in 2003’s PETER PAN. It’s said that there are still various other actresses set to audition for the part, but, at this time, Hurd-Wood is the only one to have read for the part.

As well as talk of one of Leia and Han’s children being cast, there’s also news on the role of Luke Skywalker’s son, with I AM NUMBER FOUR and MAGIC MIKE’s Alex Pettyfer the apparent front-runner. It was earlier reported that Ryan Gosling was lined up for that particular role, although he’s apparently no longer interested in becoming part of a galaxy far, far away.

Finally, LR’s report goes on to say that a huge casting announcement is expected imminently from Disney, possibly even by the end of today.

Expect more on this as it develops.
