Playing with many screenings of OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL, this new minute long STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS promo contains a wealth of new footage, including more humour than some of the dark trailers we’ve seen previously. Check it out for yourselves in the player below…

 

The publicity drive for the sequel has stepped up a gear this week. Firstly we had the news that we’ll get to see the film here in the U.K. on May 9th, a whole week before the States, then half an hour of footage was shown to assorted journalists (and yes, general reaction ranged from wildly enthuastic to people spontaneously combusting with excitement). Whilst there’s plenty of spoilers from the screening out there if you want them, we’ll not ruin things, other than to say the opening’s been re-jigged slightly from the version shown before THE HOBBIT, and that Peter Weller’s playing a Starfleet admiral by the name of Marcus (hmm…). Oh, and we still don’t know if Cumberbatch is playing you know who (no, not Voldermort, the other one).

UK audiences can STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS on May 9th.
