Just as part of the fun of watching a Hitchcock film is spotting his cameo, so too is it true of Stan Lee in a Marvel movie. So when you leave your local multiplex after viewing this summer’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY thinking, “Where was Stan? Did I miss him in a crowd scene? Was he covered in layers of latex? Should I have gone to Specsavers?” (other stylish eye glass wear providers are available), worry not for the Marvel Comics legend won’t be making his usual crowd pleasing / groan inducing* appearance. “No, I’m afraid not,” Lee told DweebCast when asked. “That’s the one group I didn’t create.”

What a shame, but I’m sure his absence won’t in any way diminish the film. “I didn’t write GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. I’m not even sure who they all are. I can’t wait to see the movie.”

He’s not the only one!

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY opens in cinemas August 1st, and is expected to debut its first trailer during Super Bowl XLVIII on Feb 2nd. Stan Lee will next be seen in AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 13, ‘TRACKS’.
