As mentioned in the title, here lie spoilers for the post-credits scene of James Mangold’s upcoming THE WOLVERINE. If you don’t want to know what happens, click away now. Don’t say you weren’t warned…

Comic Book Movies has the scoop on the scene, which starts with Logan walking through an airport two years after the events of THE WOLVERINE. Suddenly, all of the metal detectors at the airport start to go crazy. Wolverine turns around to be greeted by Ian McKellen’s Magneto. Magneto warns Logan of the impending threat of an enemy that is looking to wipe out all mutants, and asks him to join him in this battle. Wolverine declines the offer and asks why he should even consider it. At this point, all of the police and civilians surrounding the characters freeze, with Patrick Stewart’s Professor X rolling into frame, who then begins to try and convince Wolverine to join them.

This all seems to be part of the setup for Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, which will be released next year. In the meantime, THE WOLVERINE is released on Thursday.
