To quote the late, great Ray Bradbury, “October is a rare month for boys,” and I am really looking forward to this October with its dark delights. There’s THOR: THE DARK WORLD, ENDER’S GAME, it’s my birthday, TARZAN, GRAVITY, it’s my birthday, SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR… Oh, but wait, for The Weinstein Company have announced that Robert Rodriguez’s long-awaited sequel to SIN CITY has been pushed back to August 22, 2014! That’s practically a year! We’ve already had to wait eight years so that will make it almost nine! Nine years! 

All I can say is that it had better be worth it! But with the impressively talented Josh Brolin, as the physically-altered Dwight (played by Clive Owen in the first film), leading the ensemble cast I think we can rest easy. So what is SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR about? In a nutshell Dwight is “hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord (Eva Green), and then watches his life go straight to hell.”

Well at least we have the other October cinematic releases. What will be tricks and what will be treats? Did I mention that it’s my birthday?
