It was only yesterday that Stan Lee revealed Marvel Studios are planning to include BLACK PANTHER as part of their PHASE THREE slate. Well, ‘The Man’ has been at it again, this time speaking to MTV about his belief that a Silver Surfer solo outing will happen at some point.

Lee said, “There is no way they won’t eventually do a Silver Surfer movie. It may not be for a few years because they’re thinking and working on DOCTOR STRANGE, BLACK PANTHER, ANT-MAN, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. But they’ll get around to a Silver Surfer feature because he’s a wonderful character”

If Lee’s hopes of a Silver Surfer movie came to fruition then it would make a lot of people very happy, but there’s a slight spanner in the works. Whilst the cinematic rights for Doc Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Guardians like with Marvel Studios, Silver Surfer’s rights are currently with 20th Century Fox. So, either Lee has word on the character returning to Marvel Studios, has heard from Fox that they’re pushing ahead with a solo film for Norrin Radd, or he’s a little confused on what’s going on and is just talking the talk.

Here’s hoping the Silver Surfer returns to the big screen soon.
