Remember that ‘Scarlett Johansson as a sexy alien’ flick that raised its head a few months ago? UNDER THE SKIN? That’s the one. Well it’s now been given a release date. Distributor A24 today announced that the film will make its US bow April 4th. As previously announced, UK moviegoers will get to see it a few weeks earlier on March 14th.

The plot sees Johansson playing an earth-inhabiting alien who just happens to take the form of a sexy, stunning seductress. Using her sexuality to hunt and feast on human prey, the sexed-up ET suddenly has a clash of conscience. Becoming strangely attached to human-kind, Johansson’s character has to go up against her own kind to protect mankind. That’s a lot of kinds.

Despite a stylish, sultry trailer appearing towards the final quarter of 2013, early reviews of the film suggest that it could very well be a stinker. Still, we’ll hold off on condemning the film too much until we get to see Johansson’s alien skin-flick-lite later this year.
