With Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine as members of his SECRET SERVICE, Matthew Vaughn was going to have to pick up an impressive name to face them in the villainous role. Step forward Nick Fury himself, King of Cool Samuel L. Jackson.

Based on Mark Millar’s graphic novel, THE SECRET SERVICE will follow Firth’s Uncle Jack, an MI6 superspy who takes his slacker nephew Gary on board, in the hope of giving him something to do with his life. Their first big case together includes the kidnapping of various legendary sci-fi actors – including a potential appearance from Mark Hamill.

Though Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio had been considered, Jackson’s now been named as the man presumably behind this masterplan. The next big role left to cast is the female lead – for which Vaughn has reportedly expressed interest in both Emma Watson and Bella Heathcote.
