Variety is reporting that Samuel L. Jackson is in talks for a leading role in Warner Brothers’ upcoming TARZAN reboot. It’s unclear what particular leading role that may be, but I’d hazard a guess that Samuel won’t be donning any sort of loincloth.

One person who will be donning such a garment is Alexander Skarsgard, who has already be announced as playing the titular character made famous by Johnny Weissmuller. David Yates, best known for directing several HARRY POTTER films, is attached to helm the retelling. It’s also claimed that THE WOLF OF WALL STREET’s Margot Robbie is in negotiations to play Tarzan’s love interest, Jane.

Seemingly an age in development, things seem to finally be moving forward on this live-action reboot.
