In an interview with IGN the obscenely multi-talented Rob Zombie (whose latest cinematic offering THE LORDS OF SALEM has a limited cinematic release this Friday followed by a DVD release 29th April) revealed that his next project will be a movie about the rather violent sport that is ice hockey!

Set in the 1970s, THE BROAD STREET BULLIES is the true story of the dramatic and controversial rise to success of The Philadelphia Flyers. “It’s like THE DIRTY DOZEN meets BOOGIE NIGHTS on ice,” is how Zombie describes the film.

In the same interview Zombie also hints that he isn’t entirely satisfied by how his HALLOWEEN films turned out as he, “didn’t contractually have final cut on those movies.”

So that explains why they were so disappointing compared to his previous movies HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVILS REJECTS.
