Whilst SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE is currently filming in New York City, the sharks-in-tornadoes sequel has been given a release date, plus some details on a few celebrity cameos.

In terms of a release, expect to see SHARKNADO 2 premiere at 9pm on the SyFy Channel on 31st July in the US, with a UK airing and DVD/Blu-ray release expected to follow shortly after.

Joining a cast that includes Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osborne, Judd Hirsch, Andy Dick and Judah Friedlander, SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE will feature cameos from Perez Hilton, Biz Markie, Sandra Denton/Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa, Robert Klein and professional wrestling machine Kurt Angle. We guess they’re certainly pushing the boat out to bring in the big names…
