With seemingly every man, woman and child having an opinion on Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman in the upcoming MAN OF STEEL sequel, Quentin Tarantino is the latest to get quizzed about Batfleck.

In a recent interview, the non-arsed QT said, “I have to admit that I don’t really have an opinion. Why? Because Batman is not a very interesting character. For any actor. There is simply not much to play. I think Michael Keaton did it the best, and I wish good luck to Ben Affleck. But, you know who would have made a great Batman? Alec Baldwin in the ‘80s.”

Firstly, I have to firmly disagree with Tarantino on the ‘interesting character’ comment. The Batman, not to mention Bruce Wayne, has so many different layers and dynamics to him, especially when you start to bring other characters into the mix and see how he interacts with them. He’s the grumpy old bastard that hates the world and its inhabitants, yet finds himself on a constant mission to protect said world. Whilst I disagree with QT there, I do agree that Keaton was by far the best Batman, and, yes, Alec Baldwin could have been a great Bruce/Bat if given the nod. Neither have pointy jaws, a lisp, or a tendency to growl. Always good in the Bat-stakes.

BATMAN VS SUPERMAN is due in cinemas July 17th 2015.
