Fear Paris News

“Darkness has descended on the city of romance, and Death is coming for you in the most glorious way imaginable.” So goes the logline of the long-gestating and genre-bending sci-fi/fantasy/horror anthology FEAR PARIS, now finally scheduled to begin filming later this year.

Originally titled Paris, I’ll Kill You and produced by the same people behind horror juggernauts PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and INSIDIOUS, its initial plan was a collection of ten vignettes leaving a trail of bodies across the City of Light, each to be made by a different director. However, scheduling issues with some of the directors and the untimely death of David R Ellis, who was also to take on a segment, meant that filming was forever delayed.

Now that production is moving forwards, Joe Dante (GREMLINS; PIRANNHA; THE HOWLING), Xavier Gens (FRONTIER(s); THE ABCs OF DEATH) and Timo Vuorensola (IRON SKY) have each been confirmed to be helming a segment, with another two directors to come on board soon. The conceptual designer is Dutch director Richard Raaphorst (FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY), and if you’re familiar with the legion of undead Nazi biomechanical chimera from that film, you’ll know what great things to expect.
