Initially set for a 25th October release, we’re not getting news that PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 has been pushed back to 2014. Initially, Exhibitor Relations reported that the film would be arriving on 3rd January, 2014, but The Wrap now claims that we won’t actually see PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 until October, 2014.
Fans of the series need not fret too much, with a “Latino-targeted” offshoot of the series planned for January, 2014 in the form of the rumoured-to-be-titled THE OXNARD TAPES.
The January release date for horror movies is now appealing to studios after the success that THE DEVIL INSIDE experienced with a similar-timed release. Still, October is always the biggest money maker for horrors, with Halloween drawing the punters in.
Either way, there’s still very little known on the actual plot of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 5 at this time. We’re going to go out on a limb and say it involves a shaky cam, poorly lit houses, night vision, loud bangs and evil, lurking spirits…
