Don’t worry, this isn’t a remake of the 1996 Bruce Willis vehicle – though even if it was I guess few of us would be that surprised. Instead, it’s a graphic novel adaptation (well it wouldn’t be an original idea, would it – Hollywood seemingly doesn’t have those anymore!).

LAST MAN STANDING: KILLBOOK OF A BOUNTY HUNTER (or LMS for short) was produced in 2010 under the Heavy Metal banner, and tells the futuristic tale of a war hero framed by a terrorist organisation and imprisoned for 9 years. But seeing as he’s a genetically altered super soldier designed to help stave off an invasion of Earth, it’s not long before he escapes and goes looking for those responsible… Sounds like a sci-fi spin on OLDBOY to us.

Writer David Johnson (ORPHAN, THE WALKING DEAD, WRATH OF THE TITANS) has been tasked to pen the screenplay for Paramount.

We’ll have more on this as it develops. In the meantime, check out the official website for Daniel LuVisi’s creation here, it looks awesome!
