FilmDistrict has decided to move back Spike Lee’s OLDBOY remake by a month or so. Originally set for a 25th October release in the US, the film will now be hitting screens on 27th November instead. Those of us in the UK will hopefully still be getting the movie on December 6th as originally scheduled.

A remake of Park Chan-wook’s 2003 film, Lee’s film tells the tale of Joe; an advertising executive that is kidnapped out of the blue and for no apparent reason. Held in solitary confinement for 20 years, Joe is one day set free. From there on out, he’s a man on a mission of revenge and discovery as he seeks the answers to the many questions that he has.

Starring Josh Brolin in the lead role, the film also features Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, James Ransome and Samuel L. Jackson. If you haven’t already, you can watch the trailer HERE.
