Du-du-du-doo, du-du-du-doo, du-du-du-doo, du-du… ahhh, you know the next.

As reported recently, Warner Bros. are gearing up to venture once more into Rod Serling’s TWILIGHT ZONE to bring us a big-screen version of the property. Unusually however, they’re still sticking to their guns and insisting that this will be a single feature length tale instead of the (much more appropriate surely!) anthology approach.

Anyhoo, we’re sure these guys know what they’re doing, and we’re very interested in what newly hired screenwriter Anthony Peckham has in store for us. Peckham previously brought us Guy Ritchie’s SHERLOCK HOLMES and Clint Eastwood’s INVICTUS, so yeah, good credentials… but man, this is a tough project to pull off. How can Warner Bros. expect to launch a theatrical franchise based on one off, unconnected tales?

Time will tell we guess, but we absolutely stand by director Matt Reeves (CLOVERFIELD, LET ME IN) to figure out how to make this first one special. Franchise or not.

We’ll have more on this as it develops…
