The more we see of this film the more excited we get. ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER is based on the revisionist history, supernatural novel of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith. The plot concerns an Abraham Lincoln whose mother was killed by supernatural beasts and he spends his adult evenings hunting vampires in his quest for vengeance, whilst also running the United States. The film version is directed by visual genius Timur Bekmambetov who previously blew our minds with WANTED and the NIGHTWATCH films. The film version stars Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. A new poster has now been released giving off a great vibe:

The film is released in the UK on 2nd August and should deliver the late summer blast of supernatural adventure we all crave after the silly season winds down. Of course it could end up being another PRIEST.
