Following on from the unveiling of the brand new (and might we add rather spectacular) poster yesterday, comes some more footage from Marvel Studios’ riskiest venture yet. Okay, so it’s one of those trailer for the trailer type deals, but it’s actually surprisingly generous. Check it out in the player below or exercise restraint and hold out until Monday for the full thing like a sensible person would do . Either way, it’s looking like director James Gunn and his crew have knocked this out of the park…

Official Synopsis:

To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits -Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand–with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
