The viral campaign for the hotly anticipated THE DARK KNIGHT RISES has begun in earnest with the official website now showing a wanted poster for the elusive ‘Batman’.

The files include an arrest warrant with a list of charges against “John Doe aka ‘The Batman’“ which includes 6 counts of first degree murder and 15 counts of aggravated assault of a Police Officer.  There’s also a note reminding officers of Batman’s supposed murder of Harvey Dent and his kidnapping of Commissioner Gordon’s family. Clearly the caped crusader is now public enemy number one in Gotham.

Also in the file is a memo to all Gotham PD Captain’s emphasising the importance of capturing the suspect before ‘Harvey Dent Day’.  There is then a list of global locations where apparent ‘sightings’ of the Batman have occurred and a request to send in photographic evidence of any Batman related ‘graffiti’.  This includes a couple of UK locations so any die-hard fans may want to have a read, grab a camera and head out to do their bit!

It’s all building up to the movie’s release on 20th July!
