Michael Bay backed found footage film Almanac, is hoping the third times a charm as it is now retitled Project Almanac. Perhaps that ‘Almanac’ was just too vague, now it has that ‘Project’ there we all know what it is about. What’s that? What is Project Almanac? Well I never. The film is a time travel Sci-Fi given the found footage spin to make it, you know, realistic. The film concerns a group of young people who find a time machine and call it their “second chance machine”, however their fun soon diminishes.

The film has already gone from Almanac to Welcome To Yesterday to Project Almanac, so lets hope this is the last time (get it? Get it?!) things change. The film actually sounds rather intriguing and if done right a lot could be done connecting the Found Footage and Time Travel genres, then again it could be another Grave Encounters 2 too! The film will be directed by Dean Israelite, produced by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form and will star Sofia Black-D’Elia, Allen Evangelista, Ginny Gardner, Sam Lerner and Jonny Weston.

The film is set for release on January the 30th 2015 now, unless they step back in the machine and go and alter that again too!
