Actor Jason Flemying may have accidentally let the cat out of the bag during a red carpet interview for Seven Psychopaths.

Upon being asked if he’d be appearing in Episode VII, Flemying did a droid impression before saying; “Me and Matt (Vaughn) have done nine films together, so I’m sure I’ll get the call for Star Wars.”

The journalists follow up question about whether or not Vaughn is interested in the project, puts Flemying into damage control, responding with; “I think that’s… Er yeah, he’s interested, yeah. Bar the deal… Yeah, I mean I think…” 

Matthew Vaughn has been linked with the project for a while now, with further fire being added when he walked away from X-Men: Days Of Future Past. 

So has Flemying let the cat out of the bag and accidentally broken the biggest movie story of the year, or is it all a case of cross wires and misunderstandings?

If it is true, expect an official announcement from Lucasfilm soon.
