THE HOBBIT is shaping up to be quite the mini Comic-Con event in itself. As well as the obvious excitement of Middle-earth being back on the big screen and the trailer for STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS playing before the film (IMAX audiences will get to see the first 9 minutes of Trek), it has now been confirmed that the first full trailer for Zack Snyders Superman film MAN OF STEEL will be making its debut before THE HOBBIT too.

It’s fair to say that the teaser trailer for MAN OF STEEL was met by a mixed reaction from fans, a strange mix of a washing powder advert, with a hint of Old Spice and a tiny little bit of Superman at the end. It certainly did nothing to put those fans who are still unsure of what this new “grounded” and “darker” Superman will be like.

Hopefully the full trailer will tell us more about the film and put those fears to bed. And if not, at least we’ll have THE HOBBIT to enjoy afterwards to make up for it!
