The latest actor to don Alfred Pennyworth’s butler garb, Oscar-winner Jeremy Irons, has confirmed that the MAN OF STEEL sequel’s director, Zack Snyder, is still in the process of titivating the final script before the film enters production.
"The script isn't entirely finished," he said, before adding that he had read an earlier rough draft. Irons also commented on the casting of Ben Affleck as the new screen version of Bruce Wayne/Batman, saying, "I think (his casting) is a wonderful idea. He's a lovely man and an interesting actor. I'm looking forward to getting to know him. I've only met him once."
Regardless of whether the still officially untitled MAN OF STEEL sequel has a script or not, the film is set to start production shortly. Co-starring Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Warner Bros. and DC's superhero hybrid hits cinemas 6th May, 2016.
