JTM Games recently spoke to actor Mackenzie Gray about the upcoming MAN OF STEEL. Gray, who plays a top-secret role in the film, gave a bit of insider information on what we can expect from Big Blue’s suit in Zack Snyder’s film. For potential spoilers on Gray’s role, see the bottom of this post.

On the Superman suit, Gray said, “Oh yeah, amount of detail on Superman is unbelievable. Superman’s costume is a three-layer costume; there’s a body-skin layer and then there’s a muscle layer that was moulded to Henry’s muscles – it’s a silver, metallic rubber – and then over that is a mesh skin so whenever he turns into light it looks like he’s made of steel… It’s just incredible; the design of the film is fantastic. All the concepts and the designs are just remarkable and they didn’t have to build fake muscles for Henry because he’s really built.”

Starring Henry Cavill, Michael Shannon, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is released on 14th June.

Now for more on Mackenzie Gray’s role in the film…

Well, AICN previously reported that Gray’s role will be that of none other than Superman’s greatest villain, Lex Luthor. Their sources claim that Lex is definitely in the film in some capacity and that Gray is also definitely in the film. That said, everybody, including iMDB, is keeping schtum on Gray’s actual role. The report says that Gray will be playing ‘an ambitious, ego driven and cold version of Luthor.’ This wouldn’t be Gray’s first brush with Lex, having played a Lex Luthor clone in SMALLVILLE.
