Although MAN OF STEEL is still a couple of months away, rumours are circling that BATMAN BEGINS and BLADE scribe David S. Goyer is already gearing up to start work on a script for a sequel.

It seems Warner Bros are basing the need to get working on the script now on the positive reactions the film has had amongst people who have attended private screenings to gage fan response to the film.

According to reports, the film is much more upbeat and Superman than the trailers lead us to believe (this is the company that marketed DARK SHADOWS as a comedy after all), with great action sequences.

What any of this means for the planned JUSTICE LEAGUE film remains unknown at this stage, but it is also important to remember that a sequel to GREEN LANTERN was rumoured to be in the works based on early positive responses to that film. That said, this film does have the advantage of having one of the most famous characters in the world at the centre of it.

MAN OF STEEL is due to land in cinemas on 14th June 2013.
