An interesting production has appeared on the investment site Seedrs.com that will definitely be of interest to STARBURST readers, particularly those with deep pockets. Unlike other crowd funding sites, Seedrs not only offers perks for investing, but also give funders an percentage of the film's profits.
BLOODY LONDON is the first in a planned franchise, BLOODY CITIES, from Dan Films, the award-winning production company behind CREEP and SEVERANCE.
From the pitch:
'BLOODY LONDON follows five characters on one terrifying night in our capital. As their night unfolds, we see what really happens after the sun goes down when a London black cab driver is forced into a deal with the Devil.'
Dubbed a horror PULP FICTION, it certainly looks to have an interesting slant on the anthology format. There's also some very exciting directors attached:
Steven Sheil (MUM & DAD), Johnny Kevorkian (THE DISAPPEARED), and Tom Shankland (THE CHILDREN) so the project is certainly in safe hands.
Producers Julie Baines, Paul de Vos and Darren Wall will be joined by noted writer/journalist and all-round good guy, Alan Jones. The FrightFest co-founder/director will take on executive producer duties.
