Despite several attempts to get a new take on the 1967 sci-fi novel LOGAN’S RUN off the ground (Bryan Singer, Nicholas Winding Refn and Joseph Kosinski have all had a crack at one time or other), Hollywood are still determined to reintroduce the dystopian concept to new audiences.

Today’s rumblings come courtesy of Deadline, who report that Warner Bros. have drafted in the talents of Ken Levine, the fella behind the extraordinarily successful BIOSHOCK videogame franchise. Levine will take a break away from his usual field to return to the pre-BIOSHOCK days when he wrote for the stage and screen. Encouragingly, the site goes on to say LOGAN’S RUN is somewhat of a “passion project”, meaning this could finally be in the right hands.

We’ll have more news on the project as it drops…
